Pakistan’s Own Version of Tinder, Poondi App is here

First ever local version of global dating application Tinder in Pakistan by the name of Poondi App is going to launch soon in Pakistan. Poondi App that will be initially available for the Android smartphones will be the first ever dedicated dating application in Pakistan. In addition to Pakistan, this app is designed for making friends in the neighbor country India as well.

It seems the developer has selected the word Poondi keeping in view the local dating term that is being used in the country. The Poondi App that is going to be the first ever dating and strange people meeting application will be based on the most of the features and functions of international dating apps. The way of working of Poondi will also be much similar to that of the traditional dating apps with the main difference of working within the boundaries of Pakistan and India.

This application is aimed to enable its users to get the information about the maximum number of people who are present nearby them. The users can then communicate with them by sending friend request or invitation for the chat.

The three most important areas just like traditional dating and strange people finding apps that will be the part of Poondi App are about the personal messenger, friend locater, and date finder. The work on this idea is being carried out by the developer since 2014 but still under development due to lack of funds. According to the developer of Poondi App, this will be first available for the Android smartphones and later on will be launched for the iOS smartphones.

Commenting on this idea in term of Pakistan environment, the developer and founder of Poondi App, Asher Jamil said, We picked this particular name because we feel it will be a unique selling point for our app help in marketing it. This name would attract users especially those from the Pakistan and India region. This would help the app to quickly rise up in the app store charts. Moreover, we feel the word Poondi isn’t bad in itself but has become so in our culture over time. With our app, we are hoping to change that mindset.”
